Synergy Exhibition Images. In Synergy I am intrigued with the idea of a “mixed space,” where the definition of space has become ambiguous. The three dimensional reliefs with a fragmentation of subject appear flattened, while coexisting at the same time with illusionistic motifs. Furthermore, a “texture of camouflage” has been created through the use of colour, shape and pattern, to dissolve and alter surface planes. The constructed reliefs are also exercises of centrifugal force, where a vortex is created through the conscious guiding of the eye around the art object with the use of colour, line and shape.
